As we wrap up yet another year, here I am with another end of the year review questionnaire. You can find last years here 2021 End of Year Review, if you’d like.
On with the show!
One. One word to descibe this year.
Busy.
Two. Best thing you did for someone else this year.
Probably all of the stuff I did to give back during the holidays.
Three. Favorite movie of the year.
Hmm, we always watch a lot of movies, but the first one that comes to mind is Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Four. Favorite show of the year.
In trying to recall every show I watched, the first that comes to mind is Wednesday, it’s on Netflix.
Five. Most embarrassing moment of the year.
I really can’t think of a moment I felt embarrassed.
Six. Time you laughed the hardest this year.
I can’t seem to recall what happened to make me laugh enough to cry this year. I just remember laughing and crying.
Seven. Something you learned to do/have never done before.
I did try my hand at embroidery! I ran out of thread to finish, but I really enjoyed it!

Eight. Most newsworthy event this year.
Finding out and meeting *video chat* my 9 year old sister that I didn’t know I had.
Nine. Biggest lesson learned this year.

Ten. Favorite place you visited this year.
Our Spring vacation, you can read all the details here 》2022 Family Vacation《. My favorite part was Lake Michigan, after we took the path near Mt Baldy and found the beach.

Eleven. Most memorable day of the year.
I know I sound like a broken record sometimes, but I am not kidding when I say covid ate my brain. My long term memory is caput. Therefore this question feels incredibly difficult to answer.
Twelve. Best advice you received this year.
I don’t feel like I get a lot of advice from people. They usually come to me for advice and I usually work through things on my own.
Thirteen. An achievement you are proud of this year.
Started working again and my masters program and I am loving both.
Fourteen. Reminisce about one great compliment you received this year.
Probably all the compliments I got on Harrison’s Gene Simmons costume for Halloween. Everyone from family to strangers on the street were very impressed by it.

Fifteen. What or whom are you most thankful for this year?
My employer. They have been exceptionally accommodating for me with my schedule and medical issues. I didn’t think it was possible to find an employer with empathy. I am incredibly grateful.
Sixteen. What was the hardest moment of the year.
Something I haven’t talked about yet, is my brother being arrested in May. That was a very traumatic night for me and I am still working through that trauma. I am still trying to bite my tongue about it to have a positive relationship with him while he is still incarcerated. Him being gone for the holidays was and will continue to be incredibly difficult on our family. He was just sentenced yesterday, which brought on more emotional distress. My heart hurts for him so much.
I am thankful for the life lessons and am optimistic about the new year.
