With 2 days until Christmas, or really one if you’re planning to be up late tomorrow 🎅 🧑🎄, today is the day to get everything finished.
I have 4 or 5 more things to wrap and we will be good to go. We deep cleaned most of the house, but it already needs to be tidied up again. Luckily nothing too major left to do. I already cleaned the beautiful green marker off the clean wall (thank you Harrison for your artistic expressions). We put together some home made table centerpieces just for fun. So nothing too crazy left on the to-do list. Phew.
Yesterday it was sprang on us that my brother wants a Christmas gathering with my father and siblings. [They decided on Monday] I have a lot of thoughts and feelings on it, but ultimately I will do it for my brothers. They are minors and under my father’s reign still, so I don’t see them but maybe once a year. I don’t even think the youngest one knows we are related. It’s a difficult situation. But, we will put on our brave faces and make the best of it. I am still trying to figure out a gift for my teenage brother, hmmm. Not much time left, so I have to come up with something!
Tomorrow will be busy for sure. Chris has to work in the morning for a bit. Once he gets home we will get ready and head out to see Granny again. After we visit with her, we will be going to Chris’ parent’s house. Though it has been our tradition to spend Christmas eve there, sometimes I feel like they get the short end of the stick. It is hard to make multiple families schedules work out together, so that is what works for everyone. But, I still feel like they deserve so much more.
