Blogmas 2022 •Day Twenty-Two•

Is there anyone who doesn’t like cookies? I can’t think of a Christmas when we didn’t have cookies of some kind. I mean, it is the tradition to leave them out for the old man bringing gifts, but is it a bribe or a thank you? 🤣

Anyway! Cookies cookies cookies. Normally I make a variety of cookies during the holidays, but this year I just haven’t had it in me. There has just been a lot going on here. Today I finally felt like, “okay I can handle this”, after deep cleaning the kitchen. I figured since the weather was keeping us inside and the next 2 days are likely going to be busy, there is no time like the present!

The kids insisted on taking over the entire system. I did have to veto a couple of their cutouts as I knew they weren’t going to withstand the baking process. It is a weird thing to not be needed to the extent that I am use to. These kids are just growing so fast! I should have snapped pictures of the process, but #1 I was trying to keep myself from hovering for perfection and #2 my big kid refuses to wear shirts.

I did get pictures of the finished products, well the ones that didn’t immediately get eaten! Can you guess who made which ones [3 year old, 5 year old, 9 year old, and two 30 somethings]?
