Traditions can only be traditions if you keep doing them, right? Blogmas has become a tradition that I do for myself. Somedays I don’t know what the heck I am going to end up writing about, whereas other days are planned out. I know each person has their own version of blogmas. My blogmas is 25 posts from December 1st to December 25th [Christmas day].
I was thinking at the very least I could show what our elf, Bob, is up to every night…
I know some people are anti-elfontheshelf for whatever reason and that is perfectly fine. I honestly never thought it was something I would want to be doing. I thought it is just another thing I have to manage. That was until he literally appeared on my doorstep a few years ago [it was not my doing].
But, I have had some fun getting this little guy into mischief. My kids talk about him all through the year and most of the time, I pretend I don’t know who they are talking about. Sometimes, I throw in my frustration with Bob and the messes he leaves me. It is fun for both sides, but the best part is seeing how excited the kids are to see him and what antics he is up to. I won’t lie, it also helps the kids be a little bit kinder, which is a win for me! Anything that helps the sanity is a win in my book.
With all of that said, each day of blogmas will end with Bob’s antics. Other than that, I don’t have a set agenda, but I hope you will stay tuned to see what happens!

Bob arrived in an advent choo-choo train. Each day they will open one compartment and it will build a toy train with accessories.
