I saw this tag on And Fierce’s blog and thought it was a great and short enough challenge to get me into a more positive mood. Lately I have been just feeling down, it’s been a crazy month.
Here are the rules:

Day One.
Today I am grateful for the postal services and the internet.
In this day and age ordering things online is just a natural seeming part of everyday life. In fact, about 25% of our Christmas gifts were purchased online this year. I was looking for some very specific things for my youngest son and couldn’t find them anywhere locally as they are considered specialty items I guess you could say. Maybe there just isn’t a big enough market for stores to carry them, I don’t know.
Anyway, I found a shop on ebay that sells what I was looking for. I went ahead and bought them early because I wasn’t sure if shipping would be an issue. Low and behold it took like 4 or 5 days to get after purchasing! My son is going to have the coolest surprise come Christmas morning.
I am grateful that we have the ability to look for these special items and buy them online when stores don’t have them. Both of my boys [2 and 8] are into some pretty specific things and the only way I could get my hands on any of it was ordering online. My oldest wanted a bunch of YouTuber merch from a few different channels he follows. I was lucky to find the items still in stock on 2 of their sites, but of course I would not have been able to get them locally at all.
So huge shoutout to those small online businesses who are making a couple of kids super happy this year! And another huge huge shoutout to the delivery service people for making it get here! I am grateful!
