7 days left until Christmas! That means it is crunch time people! I never understood those who wait until the last minute. People like my father that go shopping on Christmas eve. How the heck do they do it?!
At the same time, we never went without on Christmas growing up. So I guess it all worked out for us. I however, like to be done as early as possible. I have seen many people who shop all year long during sales, but we dont really have the capacity to constantly hide things around the house. Plus, if we learned anything from last years missing presents Christmas morning it was to keep everything together in one spot! This year we did just that!
With that said, everything our kids are getting is wrapped and ready (ok minus the Barbie house, but it is almost done)! The only thing we will have to do Christmas eve is set it all up. I like doing it this way so that we aren’t up until 5a.m. and waking up at 7a.m. with the kids eager to rip everything apart. We get adequate sleep and can enjoy the morning.
Anyway, I am looking forward to tomorrow. Pickle has a “short” day and then starts his Winter break. I don’t know who is more excited for school breaks, the kids or me (I get a little extra sleep time). To start it off right we will be having a picnic on the go and drive around looking at Christmas lights tomorrow evening.
