Now that the kids are getting older, they can appreciate a good prank. I figured for Halloween, I would try to pull some pranks on them to spook them a little bit.
I had purchased a small bag of “body parts” from the Halloween section of the store [obviously fake parts]. One night for dinner, I put the finger on Pickle’s plate with his grilled cheese and wrapped my hand in a towel. I called the kids to dinner and Pickle immediately says, “what is this?”
I said something to the effect of, “I was looking for that! I accidentally cut it off and then couldn’t find it!” He could tell it was a joke and I tried to make him believe it was my real finger. He said, “you don’t have white nails, let me see your nails!”
Meanwhile, Monkey started yelling “ahhhhh a finger!”
The whole thing lasted maybe 3 minutes and Pickle wasn’t spooked, but at least Monkey was a little? Haha! So the next day at breakfast, I threw an ear in his cereal. He came down, took one look and said, “really…” with this face 😒.
Monkey, on the other hand started yelling, “I CAN’T LIKE THE EAR IN THE CEREAL!!!” She cracks me up!
I guess Pickle isn’t falling for those tricks, so I need to get something better. I am thinking about a scary mask, but I am not sure yet.
Do you do pranks for Halloween? If you have any ideas to share, please do so!
Boo!
