Dear Husband

Dear Husband,

Thank you.

Thank you for not trying to mold yourself to society’s notion of what it means to be a man.

Thank you for always supporting me in the things I have wanted to do.

Thank you for continuously busting your ass at work, without complaints, for the last 7 years in order to support our growing family.

Thank you for showing me that not all men expect a doting maid day in and day out.

Thank you for never complaining when I have my lazy days and zero energy to do the dishes.

Thank you for picking up the slack in the household duties while I am too tired and sore to do it myself most days.

Thank you for constantly maintaining our never ending piles of laundry.

Thank you for never throwing money in my face when I was a stay at home mom and even now when my paychecks are not very much.

Thank you for never giving up on me even when I wanted to give up on myself.

Thank you for never calling me insane or crazy when I was going through a depression phase.

Thank you for always being loving and caring, even when I am less than.

Thank you for respecting my boundaries, even when it goes against what you want to do.

Thank you for being you. I could not have created a more perfect man for myself.

I am thankful every day for everything you are and everything you do.

I hope you always know that.

-Jenn
