Going Into 2019

I honestly cannot believe we are here yet again! These years just keep going faster and faster.

I had been thinking about new years resolutions again. I think I made the best decision last year to not make any resolutions. Resolutions are nothing but pressure, and let’s face it, who actually enjoys that? I know I don’t. The pressures we feel are the pressures we put on ourselves. I for one, have enough stressors that I don’t need to add more by nit picking my life apart.

Going into 2019, I am going to continue on the path I am on of self clarity and living my best life. There will be many changes a long the way I am sure as it is sort of inevitable in life.

As for this here blog, I will be making at least one change…

As those of you who have been following me know, I have not disclosed my kids real names; referring to them as Pickle and Poppy. I still plan to continue on using nicknames, but I will be changing Poppy to the nickname I actually call her; Monkey. I started using Poppy when I was pregnant because red poppies were a huge inspiration for her room. I have never actually called her Poppy, but figured it would be too confusing to change it. I have been thinking about it for the last couple of months and finally decided I need to make the change. So, in 2019 I will be using the name Pickle for my son (he is currently 5 years old) and Monkey for my daughter (previously Poppy, she is going to be 2 in about a week). As for the new baby, while we know we are expecting a little boy we don’t yet have a name for him. I figure he eventually will get his own nickname too.

My biggest hopes for the new year are to have a healthy baby and safe labor/delivery and also to experience more new things. I am really hoping for a family vacation, but we will see how the cards play as the year goes. I would like to go camping or glamping more than one time. I just feel like I need to be in nature more. Feet in the mud, or sand, sort of thing.

2019 should be a good one!
