Day 31: Going forward how can you commit to loving yourself daily?
The first and most basic thing is getting myself ready for the day. I have talked about it before in my post invest in yourself. Getting ready is an accomplishment for me most days. Typically if I don’t need to leave the house I stay in my pajamas. However I find that when I take the time to get ready I feel better about myself and have more motivation for other things. It just makes me less cranky. Is that weird?
The other major thing would be to go to bed at a decent hour. I have a really hard time going to sleep. It takes me 2 to 3 hours of laying here to actually fall asleep. My husband falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow. I wish I could do that, but my brain doesn’t operate like that. Part of the reason is that never ending to do list I am always ranting about. My brain just spins into all these tangent thoughts and end up keeping me awake. Part of me being able to wind down is either writing, watching a show or a few, or playing games on my phone.
[ Side note: I am currently watching Call The Midwife on Netflix and my current game of choice is now angry birds 2. ]
I know I need to start putting my phone down more so that I can go to sleep earlier and hopefully stay asleep longer and get better quality sleep.
As for anything else, I have been working on the rest. I am constantly a work in progress. I think the two commitments will be challenging, but rewarding at the same time.
What do you do daily for yourself? What else could you be doing to love yourself every day? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
Jenn
I try to get dressed every day, even if it just means changing from sleeping PJs to comfy clothes that could function equally well as PJs.
