Day 13: Take a selfie just as you are and find something to love about it.
Uhm, okay, so I didn’t plan for this one as I don’t read ahead on the daily prompt. Here is my picture, mind you I am in bed and chose to be lazy and not wash my face tonight because we just spent the last 5 hours at the car dealership.
I love my eyes and eye lashes. In all honesty, I don’t really find much of this picture to be unlovely. The only thing I see that sort of annoys me is my dry skin issues (you can see a flake there on my nose). However, it does not annoy me like it use to. Some simple aquafor will help heal that up for a few days.
Sometimes I find it hard to love my reflection. Especially on those lazy days when I wear pajamas almost all day long and my hair is like an afro trying to escape. I choose to love myself anyway. Life is too short to spend it obsessing about the things we cannot change to fit our idea of “perfect”. I am perfectly imperfect and that is fine by me.
