Blogmas Day 24

I honestly cannot believe it’s already Christmas eve! I keep thinking back at where I was last year. I was pregnant with Poppy, hoping not to be in the hospital on Christmas, but also so eager to meet her.

It is crazy to me that she is already almost one. It doesn’t feel like a year has passed. I guess that’s what happens when you have multiple children, life becomes busier so time seems to slip away faster.

On this Christmas eve, I woke up at 530am so that I can be picked up at 6am, by my mom, to go get my older brother. We were going to go visit my younger brother Robert. However, the roads are too icy right now so we had to postpone the visit for another day. I woke up to this glorious sight:

Our van covered in snow

As for the rest of today, Chris, the kids, and myself will be headed to his parent’s (assuming road conditions get better). I will make sure we have all the food we are bringing (I’m making stuffing and we are bringing the turkey).

We will spend the entire day with them and his grandma. Normally we only have an evening to spend with them, so I am glad that it has worked out this way. We all genuinely enjoy each other’s company. We will reminisce, cook, eat, laugh, and watch the kids open presents.

When the night comes to an end, we will come home and hope the kids go to sleep at a decent time. At some point Chris will have to go get the secret stash from my mom’s garage. We will go to sleep and when we wake up it will be Christmas!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas eve. If you’re not celebrating, then I hope you’re having a wonderful day!

Until tomorrow,

Jenn
