Things have been a bit crazy around here. Seems like each day gets a little bit busier than the last. Then again, most of it is just the work I create for myself. Thinking about things I would like to get done or need to do. Then executing a plan to do those things.
Christmas cards have been sent. Gifts have been purchased and wrapped. Christmas is practically finalized for us. All that is left is to make cookies for Santa. Have Christmas eve with Chris’ family. Then, of course, Christmas day itself.
Now we have added in planning and getting ready for Poppy’s first birthday! I have been preparing for this day since I knew I was pregnant with her. I’m a party obsesser. I like planning them and delivering on my plan.
On Sunday we did her 1 year pictures to be able to send out invitations. Done and done. I have slowly started buying things as I see them. I also have a few things I need to make. On top of ordering the cake and food. There is a lot that goes into planning a party. At least, if you are obsessed with details like I am.
Even with all the stuff going on, I still am in the Christmas spirit. Honestly, I don’t think it ever truly leaves me. Now, only if I could get some snow, I would be golden.
