For any age, filling a stocking can seem like one of the most daunting parts about Christmas, (shhh) or being Santa. At least that is true for me.
When I was younger, our stockings were always filled to the brim with candy. Sometimes we would get something like lipgloss, notepads, or earrings, but mostly it was candy.
After having Pickle, I quickly realized how difficult it was to fill a stocking with useful things. As he has gotten older, I still find it difficult to find non-candy related stocking stuffers. Especially because he is into more specific things.
Pickle is now 4.5 years old and Poppy is a few weeks shy of her first birthday. Here are my ideas for their age groups on what useful, or non-candy, things can be put in stockings.
Of course there are a plethora of other ideas out there. I know Pickle will be getting a couple DS games, some Minecraft figures, and a little bit of chocolate. If it were up to him, his would be full of candy.
Maybe when he gets older and isn’t trying to eat candy as a meal replacement we will get him more.
What do you find in your stocking?
Until tomorrow,
Jenn
