I Think Of Her

Every year, on this day, I think of her.

People always celebrate the child on their annual birthdays. Now that I am a mother, my birthday is more special to me.

I now know what it is like experiencing pregnancy, labor, and birth. It is not an easy event to go through.

Every year on my birthday, I am reminded of the strength and love of my mother. I am reminded how she literally gave me life. She put herself through hours of pain just for me.

Her love is immeasurable and unconditional.

It is only right to express gratitude for her, especially on this day.

Mom,

May you always know how much I love and admire you. May you always know how strong you are. May you always know how thankful I am for having you as my mother. Even in our hardest times, I have never had to question your love for me. I can only hope that I am half the mother that you are. Your love has no boundaries and your sacrifices never forgotten. Thank you for giving me life 28 years ago. Thank you for everything thereafter. On this day, I will always think of you. I love you, mom.
