I cannot believe Christmas is approaching us again already. Not that I am complaining because I love the season, but this year sure did fly by.
It seems like just a couple of months ago Poppy was born. I remember this time last year when I was eagerly waiting for her arrival. Wondering what/who she would look like and who she would become. Going through holidays thinking, “the next time we have this holiday she will be here with us.” Now she is on the verge of being 11 months old.
Being a parent isn’t always easy. The hardest part is it goes by way too fast. I have been told it only gets faster the older you get. So far that has been true for me.
I forsee it feeling like a month has passed but it really will have been 10 years. I’m going to blink and my kids will be adults. It is fun watching them become their own people, but it makes me sad to think one day I am going to miss the stages we are in now. Life is bitter sweet in that way.
On this thanksgiving day (and everyday) I am thankful for all the things I have, the people whom I love, the woman that I have become, and the stage of life that we are in.
I hope you all (who celebrate) had a lovely thanksgiving. I hope those who don’t celebrate, still had a wondrous day. Cherish your season of life because one day it will be gone and you will be cherishing the next season.
