Every year in the month of November people are reminded to be thankful. Thankful for their family, friends, food, housing, clothes, jobs, and many other things that make up a daily life.
I like to think about what I am thankful for all year-round.
After all, I have a lot to be thankful for.
Even in all of my struggles, I know there are plenty of others who could only dream of having the life that I do. There are so many people who make my struggles seem so minuscule.
I don’t consider my life lavish by any means. That also depends on what you compare it to. If you compare my life to someone who has millions of dollars then my life may seem like a struggle. If you compare my life to someone who is homeless then my life seems lavish. It is all about perspective.
Regardless, there is always something to be thankful for. Even if it comes down to being alive. Even if you think you have nothing and no one, you are still alive. You can make changes to your life if you just believe in yourself. Keep pushing until you get where you want to be.
Be thankful for everything along the way. Find the silver lining in each struggle. Appreciate all that life is.
