Awhile back I wrote a post called the time is now. This post was about my struggle to maintain motivation to lose weight. One of the things that I wanted to do was to create a list of the things I could do instead of impulsively making desserts to feed a craving.
If you’re reading this, then that means I did make that list and I want to share it with you.
- Dance
- Clean
- Get rid of unused items
- Go outside
- Karaoke/sing
- Do a puzzle
- Paint
- Write
- Take a bath
- Legos
- Bathe the dog
- Dust
- Wash bedding
- Watch a movie
- Count to 100
- Take a nap
- Organize cabinets
- Clean appliances
- Talk to a friend or relative
- Crochet
- Draw
- Color pictures
- Have a pillow fight with the kids
- Build a fort
- Read
- Watch how to videos on YouTube
- Write a to do list
- Make goals
- Redecorate with what you have already
- Create a holiday craft
- Do a science experiment with the kids
- Play keyboard
- Paint nails
- Organize files
- Play pretend
- Drink water
- Window shop online
I am sure there are plenty of more things to think of, but for now these will suffice.
How do you maintain motivation? What is in your list that wasn’t on mine?

I personally don’t do that, but I’m sure there are plenty of others who find it useful 🙂
