37 Ways To Distract Your Mind

37 ways to distract your mind

Awhile back I wrote a post called the time is now. This post was about my struggle to maintain motivation to lose weight. One of the things that I wanted to do was to create a list of the things I could do instead of impulsively making desserts to feed a craving.

If you’re reading this, then that means I did make that list and I want to share it with you.

  1. Dance
  2. Clean
  3. Get rid of unused items
  4. Go outside
  5. Karaoke/sing
  6. Do a puzzle
  7. Paint
  8. Write
  9. Take a bath
  10. Legos
  11. Bathe the dog
  12. Dust
  13. Wash bedding
  14. Watch a movie
  15. Count to 100
  16. Take a nap
  17. Organize cabinets
  18. Clean appliances
  19. Talk to a friend or relative
  20. Crochet
  21. Draw
  22. Color pictures
  23. Have a pillow fight with the kids
  24. Build a fort
  25. Read
  26. Watch how to videos on YouTube
  27. Write a to do list
  28. Make goals
  29. Redecorate with what you have already
  30. Create a holiday craft
  31. Do a science experiment with the kids
  32. Play keyboard

I am sure there are plenty of more things to think of, but for now these will suffice.

How do you maintain motivation? What is in your list that wasn’t on mine?
